Directions: Exit the 5 freeway in Oceanside at Mission Ave. Head east on Mission for 1/2 mile. Turn right on Barnes St.
The Swap Meet will take place on both days in VANC's adjacent parking lot on Barnes St. The entrance gates to the lot open at 7 am. Street parking near the gates is limited. To avoid traffic congestion, do not arrive at the meet entrance prior to opening time.
Buyers are asked to park in the Overflow lot across the street. Please do not park in the Swap Meet area unless you are selling. Sellers arriving early are welcome to park in the overflow lot until the Swap Meet gates open.
Sale items will include vintage radios, tubes & parts, Ham radio & audio equipment, records & phonographs, test gear & much more. Free coffee & pastries will be available each morning. A Donation Auction benefiting SCARS will be held mid-morning on Saturday.
Our swap meet is open to everyone, but you must be a current SCARS member to sell.

Various short radio-related presentations are tentatively planned for the afternoon from 2 - 4 pm in the VANC La Jolla Room. If you are interested in being a presenter, please contact SCARS President Jim Ryan.
A no-host bar for SCARS members prior to dinner is also planned.
Dinner, Board Elections and a Feature Presentation (to be announced) are slated to take place in the La Jolla Room from 5 - 8 pm. Friday's dinner is available to members for $30 Per Person. Each person gets two entrees; pan seared salmon and lemon garlic chicken breast, or two of either entree. Sides include mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. A field green salad with tomatoes, red onions, cucumber and carrots will also be offered, served with a red wine vinaigrette and dinner rolls. A slice of cake will be provided for dessert.
Cold beverages consisting of iced tea, lemonade, and infused water will be provided.
Hot beverages including coffee, decaf coffee, and hot tea will also be available.
Saturday:
Following the swap meet, a lunch will be served at VANC from 10:30 am - 1 pm. A Radio Contest will also be held. Categories include: Best Restoration, Home Brew, Crystal Sets, Novelty Radios (tube or transistor) and Miscellaneous. Cash prizes will be offered for each category; $25 for 1st place, $15 for 2nd and $10 for 3rd.
Saturday's lunch is available to members for $20 Per Person. The menu features
finger sandwiches: ham & Swiss cheese, turkey & muenster cheese, roast beef & provolone cheese, and tomato basil & mozzarella cheese (vegetarian). Also on offer will be fresh fruit, potato salad and pasta salad, as well as your choice of chilled infused water, lemonade, or iced tea.
