Richard Beckman Has Passed

Club member Richard Beckman passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020, while visiting a friend in Chula Vista, Ca. He was born in Martinez, CA. on December 10, 1951 along with his twin brother Bob. Their father Gordon served in the US Navy in Korea. After the war, Gordon worked as a TV and radio repairman. We believe their mother was named Dolores. Richard graduated from Mt. Diablo High School in Concord, Ca.

Richard is survived by his son Jonathan, daughter-in-law Naomi, and grandchildren Stan and Rose. They reside in Chico, Ca. His sister Linda and husband Jerry live in Eugene, Or. A younger brother David and his wife Holly are in Lincoln, Ca.

In recent years when SCARS wanted to commission a club T-shirt, Richard helped with the design and creation, and also with subsidizing the project.
